What are Photovoltaic Cells?
Photovoltaic Cells also referred to as PV Solar Cells are the elements of a solar panel that trap the energy to transform it into electricity.
Do you provide any type of financing?
We do offer many finance options at attractive rates through tie-ups with various financial institutions and banks.
What size Solar Power System should I install?
It depends on how much physical un-shaded space you have on your roof as well as how much energy you want to produce to offset what you consume. Using your current electricity bill you can calculate your average daily consumption and the average amount of electricity your solar power system needs to produce to offset your electricity needs.
What can affect the amount of solar energy received?
The strength of the solar energy (radiation) available depends on the time of year, the time of day, and the latitude of the generation point. The amount of energy generated can be further affected by the amount of dust and water vapour in the air, the amount of cloud cover and any shading of the solar panels and the quality of the solar modules.
What happens at night or when it’s cloudy?
A solar system can only produce electricity if there is sunlight. That means solar can produce electricity on cloudy days when small amounts of sunlight are still shining down onto a rooftop. However, at night time, when there is no sun light, your solar system will not generate any electricity.
How much roof space is needed?
1.0 KW system needs approximately 10 sq mtr (100 sq ft), a 1.5KW system needs approximately 15 sq mtr(150 sq ft) and so forth.
Does a solar system require any maintenance?
Solar systems require very little maintenance. The only maintenance requires is cleaning and washing of solar panels periodically.
Can I use Solar PV system to power my establishment(Residential as well as Commercial)?
Solar PV system can be used to power your entire establishment’s electrical systems, including lights, fans, ACs, cooling systems, and appliances.
What is net-metering?
Net-meter (bi-directional meter) is having provision to record energy imported from the grid to meet the load and energy exported to the grid after self- consumption. Both energy import and export records in the net-meter. The difference between Export and Import readings is the actual energy consumed/delivered.
The net meter records surplus energy exported to grid. When your system generates less energy than your consuming load, the meter records energy imported from grid.
What guarantees will I receive?
The PV Panels come with 25 years performance based warranty.
How much electricity does a PV system generates?
For every kW peak PV system installed on a South facing roof, the system will generate 5-6 units per day. However, the energy generation depends upon the weather conditions and reduces by around 20% for an East or West facing roof.
Are the solar PV panels fragile?
Solar PV panels manufactured as per National and International standards are robust and can withstand the normal stresses subjected by nature.
What are the components of a photovoltaic (PV) system?
A PV system is made up of different components. These include PV modules (groups of PV cells), which are commonly called PV panels; one or more batteries; a charge regulator or controller for a stand-alone system; an inverter for a utility- grid-connected system and when alternating current (ac) rather than direct current (dc) is required; wiring; and mounting hardware or a framework.
What is a “grid-tied” PV system?
Connecting your solar system directly into the utility grid.
